At Ink & Stitch, our cutting-edge machinery provides a wide range of techniques to bring your logo to life on any garment. While our embroidery and printing methods can achieve vibrant, lasting designs, there are important factors – such as your garment’s material to consider in selecting the ideal application method.

Here is a brief guide to help you decide which customisation technique suits you best:

Embroidery

Embroidery is a popular choice for adding a professional touch to workforce apparel, enhancing brand visibility and team identity. During this process, a metal frame secures the garment while a backing fabric is placed on the logo area, ensuring stability as your logo is stitched by a computerized embroidery machine. Your logo is first digitized, then embroidered using premium threads. Occasionally, a slight mark may remain, but this can easily be rubbed or washed out.

Best for: polo shirts, business shirts/blouses, aprons/tabards, jackets, and headwear.

Print

Printing offers durability and allows for complex, vibrant designs. We use state-of-the-art machines to produce a high-quality print that ensures satisfaction. With multiple techniques available, we can recommend the best option based on your garment type and logo complexity.

Screen Printing

Ideal for vivid, multi-color logos, especially for larger orders where multiple garments require the same design. This method separates your logo into color layers, which are individually applied using mesh screens and heat-cured for longevity.

Best for: t-shirts, hoodies, and larger logo applications.

Transfer

Similar to the process used for names and numbers on sports jerseys, vinyl transfer involves cutting a vinyl sheet into your logo’s shape, flipping it, and heat-sealing it onto the garment. This method is suitable for simpler, low-color designs and works well for smaller quantities.

Best for: high-visibility (Hi-Vis) garments and low-quantity orders, though less suitable for fleece and wool.

Additional Notes

To maintain our high standards, we limit embroidery services to garments weighing 175gsm or more, as lighter fabrics may not hold embroidery well, resulting in an uneven finish that doesn’t meet our quality expectations.
